Tinkerbell is a pint-sized girl with a big personality, looking for a very special home where her unique needs will be understood and appreciated. She can be fear reactive, so she needs an experienced and patient owner who knows how to gently guide her through her anxieties.
Tinkerbell gets along well with other dogs but she can show her dominant side when placed in a higher position than them. She's a loyal little companion, bonding deeply with her chosen human. However, she takes a bit of time to warm up to others and is especially cautious around men.
Tinkerbell is not suited for a home with cats or young children, as her fear may result in defensive behaviours. Vet visits can be stressful for her, so she may need light sedatives to help her remain calm during checkups.
Despite her challenges, Tinkerbell is an absolutely delightful one-on-one buddy. With time, patience and a calm environment, she will flourish in a home where she can feel safe and secure. She just needs a little extra love and understanding, especially when it comes to adjusting to visitors.
Our dogs are living in private foster homes and are available for you to meet. By submitting an Expression of Interest Form, you will receive a response within 14 days. Our adoption fee includes a general health check, flea and worming treatment, vaccination, microchipping and desexing.
Our dogs are generally desexed at 6 months of age. If the dog you are applying for is too young for desexing, a voucher is provided for use at one of our approved vet providers only. A 14 day adoption trial period is available when adopting an animal from BARRC. Adoption fees are required to be paid in full before taking the animal onto trial.
