This breed mix brings together the speed and agility of a Staghound with the determination and smarts of a Catahoula, making a wonderful companion for an active home.
Staghounds are fast runners, while Catahoulas are highly intelligent and can be independent thinkers. To ensure this puppy thrives, it will be important to provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation, along with clear boundaries and training. A family that understands the importance of training and socialising would be well suited.

Our dogs are living in private foster homes and are available for you to meet. By submitting an Expression of Interest Form, you will receive a response within 14 days. Our adoption fee includes a general health check, flea and worming treatment, vaccination, microchipping and desexing.
Our dogs are generally desexed at 6 months of age. If the dog you are applying for is too young for desexing, a voucher is provided for use at one of our approved vet providers only. A 14 day adoption trial period is available when adopting an animal from BARRC. Adoption fees are required to be paid in full before taking the animal onto trial.
